BGGC Chamber Concerts | Sitar Recital by Shri Manu Prasad

Shri Manu Prasad was inspired by the late great Bharat Ratna Pt. Ravi Shankar to play the sitar, and with the blessings, encouragement and support of  parents and extended family, he had  Sitar training under Late Pt. N.R Rama Rao and Late Pt. N.R Krishnamurthy (disciples of Bharat Ratna Pt. Ravi Shankar) . Currently receiving training and guidance  under  Vidhushi Manju Mehta (disciple of Pt. Ravi Shankar and sister of Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt), Shri Manu Prasad has immersed himself in the practice and cultivation of Hindustani music on the supremely graceful instrument—the Sitar. Shri Manu Prasad also trains under Sri Gurumurthy Vaidya (renowned Tabla performer and student of Pt. Ravindra Yavagal) to enhance musical knowledge and presentation skills.
